European Energy Efficiency Day
The third edition of the European Energy Efficiency Day was held on 4 December 2024 at the European Parliament. This high-level conference convened top policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society organizations to explore energy efficiency as a cost-effective and socially equitable solution for achieving the EU Green Deal's decarbonization goals.
WEF25: The Cost-Saving Solution to Surging Energy Demand
Today’s energy grid is facing unprecedented load growth. As the World Economic Forum convenes in Davos this year to explore “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” electricity consumption from data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), and the cryptocurrency sector is set to double by 2026. At the same time, the energy use of air conditioners and cooling appliances is skyrocketing and set to more than triple by 2050– consuming as much electricity as all of China and India today.
Mission Efficiency Partners Meeting: Driving Action to Double Energy Efficiency
Mission Efficiency, formerly known as the Three Percent Club, was launched at the UN Secretary-General's Climate Action Summit in 2019 with the goal of achieving a three percent annual increase in energy efficiency improvements. The Three Percent Club evolved into Mission Efficiency, during the SEforALL Forum in May 2022, reflecting a wider commitment.
